G&T has been appointed to support the development of a change control pack for the main project in a wider programme of works for a major defence contractor.
The project is approaching RIBA 3 sign off but the delivery schedule was based on incorrect assumptions resulting in an undeliverable baseline. Our team has managed the change process by working collaboratively with the client team to develop a robust and deliverable schedule, combined with a detailed RIBA 3 cost estimate to form a revised change control baseline.
In addition to this, we have been responsible for the implementation of a professional risk management system to support the development of risk and opportunity schedules throughout the project. We have provided the expertise and tools to calculate the project risk exposure and suggested contingency allowances.
As part of the change control pack, we have produced a reconciliation document to tie the approved baseline to the revised baseline to help with the justification for change. We have also assisted with the development of best practice techniques for the implementation of baseline and change management control for the wider programme.
We have subsequently been awarded a position on a long-term framework with Amentum to support its project controls and commercial requirements on this programme and all further works.
