Faith Schools' Joint Campus

Faith Schools' Joint Campus

The East Renfrewshire facility welcomed its first pupils in August 2017, with an official opening in November attended by the Bishop of Paisley and Britain's Chief Orthodox Rabbi.

The £17m state of the art campus is home to a non-denominational nursery class as well as two denominational primary schools - St Clare's with a Catholic ethos and Calderwood Lodge with a Jewish ethos. The faith schools' joint campus is thought to be the first in the world.

Both schools have separate entrances, teaching wings and head teachers but share a central space featuring giant murals of the tree of life, painted by the children. The amphitheatre has ramped seating for assemblies or school productions and will also be an informal space where children from both schools can meet up.

Other shared facilities include dedicated music rooms, science laboratories and art studios, as well as a landscaped playground.
