Garthdee Campus

Garthdee Campus

G&T was appointed to lead the overall development of the project, commencing with the re-validation of the original Masterplan for the University and updating the business case and Estate Strategy.

The project involved the major redevelopment of academic, research, support and social facilities in both new and existing buildings on the Garthdee Campus in Aberdeen. The overall Masterplan is currently being revised from the 2009 version to incorporate student accommodation and further sports facilities together with a learning and education business hub.

The current new build 34,000m² scheme includes:

• School of Art and Architecture
• Department of Life Services
• School of Computing and Engineering
• Refurbishment of current Business School

The whole project was constructed in a live environment and a primary goal was that the University academic delivery was not disrupted.
