Consent has been granted for the retrofit and extension of 65 Gresham Street for JP Morgan Asset Management.

G&T is providing Project Management and Employer’s Agent services for the Squire & Partners-designed development, which will deliver one of the largest building reuse projects in the City of London, comprising over 36,800m² of Grade A office, retail and ancillary spaces.

"G&T is proud to be working alongside the project team to deliver this retrofit scheme centred around sustainability, reuse and circular economy principles."

Karl Seyfang

Partner, G&T

The scheme involves significant structural alterations to add a four-storey extension to the building as well as elements of retained and new façade.  More than 70% of the existing building's structure will be retained, with 95% of materials recycled or reused on site with a 66% whole life carbon reduction being targeted.

Outdoor spaces will be provided on every level through the addition of inset balconies and external terraces and the existing vehicle ramp will be repurposed to create a new cycle entrance leading to end of journey facilities.

Karl Seyfang, G&T partner said: "G&T is proud to be working on 65 Gresham Street alongside the project team to deliver this retrofit scheme centred around sustainability, reuse and circular economy principles.  Now planning approval has been received, we look forward to continuing to assist JP Morgan Asset Management deliver this scheme which will breathe new life into an existing asset in a prime City of London location".
