Science & Industry Museum - Special Exhibition Gallery
The Science and Industry Museum is located on one of the most important industrial heritage sites in Europe - its five Listed buildings are the original terminus of the world's first inter-city railway.
Designed by award-winning architects Carmody Groarke, the Special Exhibition Gallery is located in the Grade II Listed New Warehouse - the museum's main building and arrival point. The new exhibition space will host some of the world's best science exhibitions and events, as well as large-scale installations from the museum's own collections.
Previously used as museum stores, the historic fabric of the lower ground floor will be revealed and restored, allowing visitors to the museum of experience the grandeur and scale of the original warehouse space while enjoying new experiences.
