The Peninsula Hotel
Housed on the site of a former 1960s office block overlooking Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch, London's first Peninsula hotel reflects the unique heritage and grandeur of Belgravia.
Designed by Hopkins Architects, the building centres around an off-street cobbled courtyard in the style of a classic English garden with two 120-year-old Japanese maples - the oldest trees of their kind in Europe.
The hotel comprises 190 rooms and suites designed by New York based architect and designer of interiors Peter Marino alongside 25 private residences. Facilities include a rooftop restaurant and bar, two ballrooms, a Cantonese restaurant and a spa and wellness centre featuring a 25m indoor swimming pool, saunas and steam rooms as well as private treatment rooms. The private residences also have their own pool and spa. There is also a one-storey shopping arcade with nine retail outlets.
