The Poppy Factory
The Poppy Factory refurbishment is a mixed-use scheme providing new office, exhibition and café space within the envelope of the existing building, together with improvements to the existing factory and a new structural link between existing buildings.
The scheme aims to futureproof the needs of The Poppy Factory through accessibility improvements, flexible commercial space and a new front of house offering for staff and visitors.
G&T was appointed as client representative to consult and support The Poppy Factory through the course of the refurbishment and was actively involved with the design team, contractor and third parties to ensure The Poppy Factory's interests were supported with technical advice.
The Poppy Factory has helped disabled veterans back into work since 1922, producing Remembrance products in its Richmond factory. Work continues there to this day but in 2010, the charity launched an employability service, which now represents around 90% of its support to veterans. Every year, The Poppy Factory helps hundreds of veterans with a mental or physical health condition to thrive in the civilian workplace, wherever they are based in England and Wales.

"The Poppy Factory team had not previously embarked upon such work and it was therefore important to find a consultancy firm that would help drive the project forward. From the offset, ߣߣÊÓƵapp; Theobald proved to be the perfect choice. And to have brought us to the point of completion, despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic is truly outstanding. We will not hesitate to recommend ߣߣÊÓƵapp; Theobald as our consultancy of choice."Deirdre Mills
