The project comprised the renovation of an existing space and the construction of a new Art History and Arts Library building at America's third oldest higher education institution.
Designed by architects SOM and Richard Meier, the gallery now comprises 69,975 sq ft of exhibition space and occupies the length of one and a half city blocks. This expansion enables increased access to the gallery's encyclopedic collections.
