Saltend Chemicals Park, Hull

Project Trinity

Saltend Chemical Park in Hull provides a home for a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses.  Set up by BP Chemicals in 2009, it now houses many leading organisations across its 370-acre site.

Market leading MDF manufacturer Tricoya was in need of space on the park in order to construct a new wood pellet plant.  As owner and operator of the site, BP undertook a site clearance and ground remediation of an old plant to provide Tricoya with the required vacant space upon which to build the new plant.  In addition to the clearance work, BP also had to consider that the plant required tie-ins to the necessary facilities and utilities.

G&T assisted in the procurement of the contracts and the cost management of the project, acting as commercial manager to the client's project manager.
