G&T is looking forward to this year's RICS Young Surveyor of the Year Awards (YSOYA), cheering on our nominees and celebrating their significant contributions to the profession over the last 12 months.
Congratulations to associate Aleks Nicole, executive surveyor Alice Speirs, apprentice surveyor Dylan Clarkson, trainee surveyor George Downs, executive surveyor Olivia Ravan and partner Sarah Kelly all named finalists in this year’s RICS YSOYAs.
These prestigious awards recognise the inspirational and diverse young surveying professionals in the UK, showcasing the highest standards of professionalism and innovation within the built environment. Meet The Finalists:
- Aleks Nicole – Associate, Mentor of the Year
Aleks joined G&T in 2015 as an assistant quantity surveyor and works predominantly in the commercial and healthcare sectors.
- Alice Speirs – Executive Surveyor, Mentor of the Year
Having joined the Manchester office in 2017, Alice is now a valued G&T NextGen champion, APC supervisor and mentor, specialising in the higher education and public sector.

- George Downs – Trainee Surveyor, Apprentice of the Year
George joined the firm in 2016 through our apprenticeship scheme and is currently in his final year at London South Bank University.
- Sarah Kelly – Partner, Mentor of the Year
Sarah joined G&T 14 years ago as an partner in our Manchester office. She strongly believes in supporting the next generation, offering advice, tutoring and taking part in our NextGen mentoring events.
