1 New Street Square 8

1 New Street Square

The new building, which replaces the International Press Centre and the adjacent 17-storey tower, comprises approximately 23,970m² of net office accommodation, together with two retail units totalling 436m², all contained within two basement levels, ground and 15 upper levels.

A BREEAM 'Excellent' rating has been targeted through the efficient use of energy and water, maximising use of recycled materials and using materials that have a zero or near zero impact on the community and surrounding environment.

Designed by Robin Partington & Partners, the building is set out on plan as two adjacent flat-iron shapes with dramatic counter sloping roof elements as a solution to deal with the constraints of a St Paul's viewing corridor.
