This refurbishment in the heart of St James’s upgrades 62,000 sq ft office space to best-in-class CAT A and CAT B standard and involved the infill of an existing poorly-performing light well to provide additional office space.Â
A spacious green roof top extension with views across the capital was created, with additional outdoor space. A lower level flat roof was transformed into an accessible outdoor terrace area. Natural light was brought into the heart of the building with provision of a number of large format sky lights. During the deconstruction phase a number of structural and fit-out materials were repurposed for incorporation into the final scheme and were diverted from landfill.Â
The generous provision for cyclists includes a 57 bicycle storage area with dedicated entrance and lift together with seven showers and 58 lockers.
The scheme achieved BREEAM 'Outstanding'Â and WiredScore Gold.
