Simon Sainsbury Centre, Cambridge Judge Business School

Simon Sainsbury Centre

Demolition of two university hostels to the rear of the existing Judge Business School to enable construction of a new five storey building to provide teaching and office space to meet the growing needs of the school.

The ground floor houses large teaching areas, a welcoming reception space and a kitchen while the upper floors provide faculty members with open plan and individual office space as well as dining facilities. A rooftop courtyard terrace provides further breakout space.

Tall floor to ceiling heights, plentiful natural daylight and good quality lighting all contribute to an inspiring learning environment.

The majority of plant is housed in the basement while photovoltaic cells on the roof helped the project achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.
