Engine Manufacturing Facility - Jaguar Landrover

Phase 1 of the project comprises a new machine hall and an engine assembly workshop spanning circa 73,000m² on the i54 site near Wolverhampton.  The project scope was then extended to include an additional assembly workshop.

The two main buildings - machine hall and assembly hall - are divided by a third, two-storey building which accommodates the main reception area, conference and exhibition space, staff and visitor restaurant, offices and meeting rooms.

Construction of the external envelope comprises a curtain wall and cladded structural steel frame, with specialist ground floor slabs, pre-cast planks and metal staircases internally.  There is a mixture of proprietary and glazed partitions to form the designated areas.
