Farington Cricket Ground

Lancashire Cricket and Lancashire County Council have come together to build a professional and community cricket facility on the Woodcock Estate in Farington.  The development will give Lancashire Cricket a second ground in the heart of the county, bringing together elite and community cricket in one, high-quality facility.

The scheme will provide a main cricket pitch to host occasional county cricket and T20 matches for crowds up to 5,000 people and will upscale the infrastructure to host such events. In addition there will be a secondary pitch in which youth squads will train, along with the wider community.

A new pavilion will provide accommodation to serve both pitches, with dual aspect and permanent spectator viewing.

A partially covered external practice area will support cricket training as well as other activities including grounds maintenance, servicing and logistics, permanent and temporary car parking and event overlay.
