This Grade II Listed existing office building has been restored and repurposed into a student residential scheme providing 473 beds across studio apartments and shared flats.
Repurposing of Listed features, both inside and out, has substantially reduced the embodied carbon of the development while operational carbon emissions are minimised through connection to the city council's low-carbon district heating system.
In addition to the renovation, a new 10-storey building has been constructed on a nearby former car park which will house various amenities including laundry facilities, communal spaces, lockers as well as a mix of individual and shared bedrooms.
