Mingei International Museum
The Mingei International Museum, located in the House of Charm building in San Diego's historic Balboa Park, is currently undergoing a major transformation.
A plaza level will be accessible from six public entries with an additional 1,700 sq ft (converted from a non-functional loading dock) which will provide a new civic space, a courtyard garden and upper level terraces with views across the park, a multi-purpose theatre for performances and lectures, an education centre together with shopping and dining destinations.
The second level will house exhibition and research areas with the main galleries and art and media library.
