Queens Quay District Heating

Queens Quay

A major urban regeneration project on the banks of the River Clyde has transformed Queens Quay into a vibrant waterside community. Public buildings are now heated by the first large-scale water source heat pump scheme of its kind in Scotland, making Dalmuir one of the greenest areas in the country.

This pioneering district heating network, which is operated through a new energy centre, was designed with expansion in mind, allowing networks to grow and connect more homes and buildings in the future. The project represents a positive investment in the community and a commitment to West Dumbartonshire Council's climate change targets.

G&T was appointed by Dawn Developments on behalf of Clydeside Regeneration Limited and West Dumbartonshire Council to deliver Cost Management services on the masterplan, subsequent enabling and infrastructure works, marine works and energy centre.
