The Stage

The Stage is a new mixed-use development comprising seven buildings including a 37-storey residential tower with 412 private sale apartments and penthouses, two commercial buildings totalling 275,000 sq ft, The Stage (the remains of the Shakespearean Curtain Theatre), two purpose-built restaurants, existing railway arches converted into retail space together with over an acre of public realm.

Located on Curtain Road in the heart of Shoreditch, the development also includes a 19th Century railway viaduct, the top of which will be made into a park.

The remains of the original theatre, where Romeo and Juliet and Henry V are believed to have premiered, have been excavated and will be transformed into a tourist attraction featuring a purpose-built visitor centre and glass viewing platform over the remains of the theatre where Shakespeare once performed.
