University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich has procured an Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract which brings together a wide range of FM services at its three historically-rich campuses in south-east London and Chatham.

Our Our Facilities & Asset Management Advisory team is the University's lead adviser for this exciting project which is enabling the delivery of transformational student-focused services to redefine and shape the University's business outcomes and drive cultural change.

The IFM contract focuses on leveraging enhanced employability outcomes for students through the business networks of the new FM contractor, Sodexo, and encompasses the first generation outsourcing of the University's operational FM team, bringing over 150 suppliers together.

With the new IFM contract due to go live on 18th May 2020, the team were faced with the challenge of mobilising the contract, transferring almost 300 staff and maintaining essential services across three campuses without access to the site. Pausing the mobilisation or delaying the contract start was never an option and, support by G&T, the University and Sodexo were able to continue on schedule, despite the challenges and unknowns ahead.

In recognition of this achievement, G&T, the University and Sodexo received a prestigious IWFM COVID-19 Response Award in October 2020.
