The project involved the renovation and fit-out of three linked buildings in the heart of Manchester to create a modern 160-room aparthotel.
The former export mills, one of which is Grade II Listed, have been transformed by New York architects Grzywinski + Pons with them taking inspiration from the city's industrial heritage. Original features have been preserved wherever possible - from the windows to the roughly textured brick walls.
Designed around a spectacular glass atrium, the shared ground and basement floors provide a bar, cafe, lounge, restaurant, gym and co-working space. Rooms on the upper floors have bespoke bathrooms and fully fitted kitchens.
