Boulevard Theatre
The Boulevard Theatre is the first new theatre to be built in the West End for over 50 years and forms part of a new redevelopment known as Walker's Court in the heart of Soho.
Designed by SODA Architects, this state-of-the-art, highly flexible venue features stalls and a balcony that revolve independently along with a stage that moves up and down making a wide variety of different configurations possible - from a traditional to a thrust stage and again to an elevated runway for a fashion show, circus ring or a cabaret. The 150-seat auditorium can even be used as a cinema.
The stalls can be rotated by 360 degrees while the balcony has a span of 270 degrees. Other elements include blackout window blinds and moving acoustic screens. The wood-framed bespoke leather chairs have been designed to be stackable and adaptable to the various uses.
G&T led the procurement of the specialist and bespoke theatre equipment and assisted with the co-ordination with the main contract works.
