Bunnahabhain Distillery Visitor Centre

Bunnahabhain Visitor Centre

The Bunnahabhain Distillery on the Isle of Islay is being transformed to improve production, logistics and the visitor experience as part of a five year refurbishment programme for CVH Spirits.

The demolition of several warehouses has allowed the site to be cleared to make way for a new 145m² visitor centre with café, retail, conference space and car parking. The new building incorporates salvaged washback timber for the new bar and slate for external wall cladding to provide historic references within the fabric of the new building. Such recycling achieves the client's objective of retaining existing materials for future use to reduce waste across the programme of works.

The visitor centre opens in 2020 and will provide VIP tasting sessions on the edge of the water to offer visitors a clear view across Bunnahabhain Bay.
