GOSH - Phases 2A and 2B
Phase 2 of Great Ormond Street Hospital's redevelopment is a continuation of our relationship with the Trust that stretches back over 10 years and includes the Camelia Botnar Laboratory and Phase 1 of the redevelopment.
Phase 2 the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building - provides new clinical accommodation, isolation suites, theatre suite and imaging suite at the heart of the hospital campus. It also resolves a range of infrastructure problems, and creates a new tri-gen energy centre, including absorption chillers and CHP working together. The works include an upgrade of the MRI facilities, approximately £35m of enabling and refurbishment works, a new £88.5m new Clinical Building (Phase 2A) and the £50m redevelopment of the existing Cardiac Wing (Phase 2B).
The Great Ormond Street Hospital campus is characterised by being a heavily developed, confined, city centre site and any major development requires decanting and demolition of existing buildings.
