Lucent

G&T provided Principal Designer services for the project which involved the redevelopment of the block behind the world-famous Piccadilly lights, over the existing retail units which remained open throughout the duration of the project.

Overlooking Piccadilly Circus, Lucent combines best-in-class offices with new retail, hospitality and residential spaces across 144,000 sq ft, including a landmark rooftop restaurant.

Lucent has been designed throughout to optimise employee wellbeing and maximise occupiers’ access to green space with 20 outdoor terraces, 200 species of wildlife-friendly plants, a three-storey green wall and a feature Whitebeam tree extending up through the central atrium.

BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ was achieved at design stage and the scheme is targeting WELL ‘Gold’ standard and NABERS 4.5* which will be achieved through 100% renewable electricity powering the building, as well as the use of air source heat pumps leading to an EPC B rating.

G&T also provided tenant liaison services acting for Landsec in familiarising new tenants with the information systems and managing the review and approval of designs on behalf of the landlord prior to them starting on site.
