One Angel Square

One Angel Square

One Angel Square is the new head office building for The Co-operative Group and is part of Phase One of the £800m NOMA development in Manchester city centre.

Designed by architects 3D Reid, the three-sided building comprises basement, lower ground, ground and 14 upper floors and is of steel and concrete frame construction with a double skin glazed façade. A series of winter gardens provide break out spaces on floors 2 to 11. The building also benefits from a full height triangular atrium providing excellent daylight throughout.

The award-winning landmark building is the UK's first regional office building to achieve a BREEAM 'Outstanding' rating with a score of 95.16% and has an A-rated Energy Performance Certificate and Display Energy Certificate, making it the most sustainable large office space in Europe and the first commercial building of this size and scale to achieve all three of these standards.
