Science Museum - Smith Centre
The new Supporters' Centre, created from a former Post Office delivery yard and refurbishment of existing buildings, provides the museum's supporters with space for socialising, events, lectures and dinners.
Designed by HAT Projects, the new space also provides meeting rooms and a new boardroom for the museum while the delivery yard has been updated to create an external courtyard space that can be used as a standalone area or as additional space.
The space also incorporates displays from the museum's collections - including a Terence Cuneo painting and a large model ship.
The basement has also been refurbished to form a kitchen prep area and toilet facilities. New MEPH installations include comfort cooling and a lift.
