The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre
The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre (named after the famous Whin Sill geological feature nearby) is a new visitor attraction that transforms the way people of all ages understand and explore their own landscapes, history and heritage.
The Sill is the most significant initiative to be undertaken in rural Northumberland in a lifetime and the largest undertaking by any National Park within the UK.
The project, which received substantial funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, has seen the redevelopment of the existing YHA hostel and visitor centre at Once Brewed near Hadrian's Wall into a new high quality facility combining Youth Hostel Accommodation and a world-class Landscape Discovery Centre.
