LREF 2018

G&T was proud to sponsor The London Real Estate Forum’s NextGen initiative for the fourth year running. Progression is at the heart of G&T and one of our core business values, we truly believe in supporting the next generation of property and construction professionals to develop their careers and networks in the industry.

The London Real Estate Forum (LREF) took place in Berkeley Square across two days with a comprehensive programme of industry speakers and panel sessions. The overall conference was dedicated to Constant Change, investigating how rapid technological, economic and societal changes can have a profound impact on the way we design, build and manage London. Delegates had exclusive access to the exhibition, where developers and occupiers showcased new projects across the city.

The LREF NextGen initiative expanded in 2018. Not only did G&T host the NextGen reception but the conference programme also included a roundtable debate, which G&T’s Kevin Arnold hosted alongside the NLA. Representatives from 11 industry organisations, chosen from the NLA’s NextGen members, made up the two multi-disciplinary teams looking for answers to solve the current housing crisis in London. One side argued for the densification of the centre of London as the solution and the other side argued for decentralisation.

"It was a really fun and worthwhile event to take part in – we had a lively and thought-provoking discussion and it was fantastic for meeting peers and networking more widely as part of LREF."
