Construction has started on the landmark Fleet Street office development scheme, Peterborough Court, the former European headquarters of Goldman Sachs, owned by Regis Fleet Street Limited (‘RFS’).

The £100 million investment programme for Peterborough Court is managed by Intense Capital, on behalf of RFS, the owner of Peterborough Court. G&T is providing Project Management and Cost Management services and with Gerald Eve acting as the planning advisor. Mace Limited has been appointed as the main contractor.

The building is targeting BREEAM 'Excellent' , or better, as well as ‘Platinum’ ratings for WELL (health and well-being), Wiredscore (broadband connectivity) and ActiveScore (commuter convenience). In addition, a minimum EPC energy efficiency rating of ‘B’ rating will be achieved and priority placed on EU taxonomy compliance. The building is also expected to meet LETI 2030 and RIBA Climate Challenge 2030 embodied carbon targets.

Phillip Bennison, Head of Development Management at Intense Capital, said: “Peterborough Court will be remodelled to provide corporates with a world-class headquarters, designed to the highest sustainability standards, and to promote well-being, productivity and collaborative working.”

Located at 133 Fleet Street, the remodelled building will create 292,000 sq ft of curated workspace and ground floor retail across eleven floors, with access to private terraces across four floors and public courtyard open space. The redesigned interiors will be aligned to the highest sustainability standards, health and wellness and dual-feed 100% ‘All-Electric’ technology.

The property will also offer c.600 cycle spaces, EV charging points, luxury showers, lockers, changing and support facilities to appeal to London’s cyclist commuter market. The design features outdoor spaces, on-site F&B amenities and leisure facilities.
