Kelvin Hall
Following a major refurbishment, Kelvin Hall is now one of the UK's biggest museums and research centres.
Located in Glagow's West End, this Category B Listed building holds approximately 400,000 pieces from Glasgow's civic collection, the National Library of Scotland's Moving Image Archive and Digital Resources and Glasgow University's Hunterian Collections Study Centre - a state-of-the-art environment for research, teaching and training.
It is also home to Glasgow's largest fitness gym as well as an eight court sports hall and studios with sprung floors.
The building was constructed in 1927 and has had many different functions over the years. Along with Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum directly opposite, it is part of the childhood of most Glaswegians, and its redevelopment as a multi-use civic building has been enthusiastically embraced by locals and visitors to the city.
