Maidenhill Primary School and Early Years
Maidenhill Primary School and Early Years is an award-winning two stream school created to service the needs of an area that is undergoing extensive residential growth.
Designed by BDP to accommodate 420 pupils and 120 nursery children, the school is set over two floors with a central atrium containing interactive zones and flexible learning spaces with snugs and hideaways for individual and peer learning. The early years facility is circular in form with floor to ceiling glazing providing natural light. Outdoor classroom and social space provides further opportunities for learning.
Maidenhill marks another state-of-the-art project for East Renfrewshire Council, following the world's first Faith Schools' Joint Campus, Eastwood High School, Crookfur Primary School and the ERC 2020 programme - all delivered by G&T's Glasgow office.
