On 25th September, our team at London Gatwick, in collaboration with the British Aviation Group (BAG), hosted an event for the BAG Next Gen members at the STEM Centre.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for the Next-Generation leaders across the aviation sector to network, learn ߣߣÊÓƵapp London Gatwick’s unique operations and projects and engage with experienced industry leaders.
The day was filled with insightful presentations from key figures across the London Gatwick Organisation including Bronwen Jones development director, Alison Addy head of comms, Chris Howe Capital procurement lead and other key members of the London Gatwick Construction Department. We covered topics such as sustainability initiatives, infrastructure development (including the new Rapid Exit Taxiway), major project case studies, employment skills, business strategy related to the New Runway project and future capital investment plans.
London Gatwick then hosted a number of exclusive tours, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the airport. Highlights included the live airfield, back-of-house retail and waste operations, London Gatwick’s extensive decarbonisation programme and the Innovation Lab. These were supported by Brad Moore and Nathan Barnett.
BAG Board members were in attendance, including Jason Fowler BAG vice chair and G&T partner, along with Tim Walder from Arcadis and Jacqui Johnson from CPC. Also in attendance was John Clough, a G&T associate, whose role at London Gatwick and as BAG Next Gen deputy chair enabled the coordination of this opportunity.
The strategic partnership between aviation clients and BAG is crucial for driving growth and innovation within the aviation sector. By working together, we provide valuable insights and opportunities for the next generation, ensuring a strong future for aviation.
