Henley Investment Management has submitted an outline planning application for 3,200 homes across 10 buildings ranging from eight to 78 storeys - to include the UK's tallest tower outside London - to Salford City Council.  Designed by Matt Brooks Architects, the development of Regent Retail Park also includes a linear park and new public realm, which will be the centre piece of the scheme.

"Our vision is to create a new green and sustainable neighbourhood for Salford, one that meets the needs of future generations"

Ian Rickwood

Chief Executive, Henley Investment Management

G&T is providing Cost Management services alongside LDA (landscape architect), Savills (planning consultant), AKT II (structural engineer) and HDR (M&E consultant).

The buildings have been designed with a focus on minimising the mass of their superstructure and building core sizes to reduce embodied carbon while the new public space features sustainable drainage systems and extensive planting with more than 150 new trees to significantly boost biodiversity.

The new neighbourhood is targeting BREEAM 'Outstanding' and will include cycle parking, EV charging points, new smart technology and green roofs.

Ian Rickwood, chief executive of Henley Investment Management, said: "Regent Park will deliver a new local centre for the area, with retail, community and green space at the heart of the plans.  Our proposals will bring forward more and enhanced retails space, a new park and village square, along with much needed high-quality homes.  Our vision is to create a new green and sustainable neighbourhood for Salford, one that meets the needs of future generations."
