A Detailed Planning Application has been submitted by Railpen for a new flagship laboratory-led scheme at Eastpoint in Oxford.  The development is Railpen's first entry into the Oxford market.

The underutilised former business park will be converted into a new 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art life science campus development comprising three lab-ready office buildings, a central café amenity building and a MSCP/Energy Hub.

G&T is providing Project Management services on this project and has managed the project from inception, through a feasibility study and preparation of the Detailed Planning Application.

Designed by Scott Brownrigg Architects, the scheme aims to be best-in-class for sustainability and is targeting BREEAM 'Outstanding', WELL, Wired and Smart Platinum and Cycle Score Platinum.

Investment in the local community to support people at different stages of their lives is a key part of the scheme.  Initiatives range from a 'Learning Lab', Community Pavilion and café to programmes to inspire and engage young people from the local area, preparing them for careers in the technology and innovation sector.

There is also a focus on sustainable transport and community engagement with enhanced amenity provision for the wellbeing of all occupants including exemplary cycling and end of journey services and fitness space.
