The investment programme 鈥� known as STEM Connect 鈥� is funding the construction of new low-carbon teaching facilities and laboratories on a former car park in the campus just outside Coventry.
The development is due for completion by 2028 and will provide space for social sciences and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). G&T is providing Cost Management services for the project.
The new facilities will aid in the university鈥檚 mission of addressing global challenges through enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration as well as securing its reputation as a global player in STEM education and research.

The investment also contributes to sustainability goals including Passivhaus certification and low embodied carbon, with the development featuring several new low-carbon buildings, an energy centre and a new green space.
The first phase of the project will provide 260,000 sq ft of space for research, education, study and work for the science, engineering and medicine departments. The university predicts that 1,500 construction-related jobs will be created over the lifetime of the project.
